If you move to a new Gmail or Google Apps account, you can easily copy existing email messages from the old account to the new email address using the built-in Gotcher Email Gmail program.

1.     In your new email account, go to Gmail Settings, click Accounts and click Add an email account. POP3 is the owner under Check mail from other accounts (using POP3).
2.       In the popup window, enter the full email address of the old Gmail account. You can enter an address or another email address is the owner @ gmail.com. Click Next.
3.     In the next step, enter the username and password for your old Gmail account. Enable the "Leave a copy of retrieved messages on server" and "Label incoming messages" settings to easily identify emails purchased from the old address.

If you enable two-factor authentication for the old Gmail address, it will generate an application-specific password that can be generated from the Security page of your Google account.

Click "Add Account" and Gmail will immediately begin copying your old messages to your new email address. The process may take some time, depending on the size of your mailbox.

If you move from a messags @ gmail.com address to your @ company address (hosted in Google Apps), the steps for getting messages are mostly the same, except that in step 3, you must enter the Following values:

a)     Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.gmail.com (port 995).
b)    Username: your email address (username: your domain name).
c)     Password: Gmail password (Google Apps).

Click the Add Gmail account button and automatically retrieve old and new messages from the old address to your new Google Apps Gmail address.
